Australian system "Moodle" newly accepted in the CampusSource Exchange
Moodle (Modular Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment) is a web-based learning management system developed by Martin Dougiamas (Australia) since 1990. It's an ongoing development project designed to support a social constructionist framework of education.
The developer, Martin Dougiamas, welcomes expressly the admission of Moodle into the CampusSource stock exchange: "I'm very pleased that CampusSource are helping to promote Moodle as one of the best available solutions for managing University courses. The development of Moodle is accelerating, and the Moodle community is working very hard to improve it further according to the needs of todays educators and students. As a self-funded open source project, contributions from our users are always very welcome."
In Germany Moodle is supported since 2003 by the DIALOGE Beratungsgesellschaft (Bonn), in Austria by the company Peter Sereinigg.
